in Confessions,Lifestyle

Still in a dream
I wake beside you knowing
that though intertwined

we are not joined.
Your back answers questions
protesting from across the bed

echoing a sarcastic chorus
of distance; and yet close
enough to touch – but I

cannot reach.

I love everything about this poem. It’s raw and real.

Thanks for stopping by my spot. Singing is very emotional for me so it can pull just about anything out of me.

This is a beautiful poem expressing the pain and emotion of marriage after a rift. Well done my first and only daugher!

WOW….That was amazing. I really liked it! Thanks for sharing. I see that you live in Oklahoma. I used to live in Tulsa! Small world. LOL

Terrific poem! You've a gift Lindsey of bringing feelings out with your words.

I know the feeling well! Unfortunately, I seem to be the one with the back turned lately, I'm not sure if I'm wishing for the reach or a harder push.
