what alice forgot

This book starts out with Alice falling of a bike during spin class, hitting her head, and losing ten years of her memory.

Sounds humerous, and there are parts of the book that are funny.

More importantly, this is a book about reflection. What memories would you lose from the last 1 years?

Similar to Alice, I would have lost memories of my children being born, of getting married and divorced. I would have forgotten that some loved ones were gone, new friends, old friends.

You lose a lot in 10 years. Would you like who you had become?

The rest of the story unfolds as Alice tries to regain her memory, take care of the kids she doesn’t remember having, and trying to figure out what her relationships are now with the people in her life.

I highly recommend this book. It is a light read, but still thought provoking. It’s not heavy or depressing. It’s just real.
