Being the mom of two boys means that when we play, we play monsters and swords and battles. We make horrible noises and have in-depth discussions about zombie invasions. There is very little room to be pretty.

And if you have visited my blog before you probably gathered that I like to be pretty. I wear make-up to the gym ok.

But that’s why I am excited about the new Tinker Bell movie. It has pirates for the boys so they can do their sword fighting and plundering, and I can be a beautiful, sparkly fairy. Who has a sword and fights too of course. Without messing up my hair. And my kids do make adorable pirates. This is Christopher when he was 2! pirate halloween

“The Pirate Fairy,” is a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” is now available on Blu-ray and Digital HD. (From Disney)
