First Day of Fall at the Zoo

in Confessions

The first day of fall this year we spent at the Tulsa Zoo.

We started the day off by listening to a talk about penguins. Did you know their bodies don’t get wet under their feathers and their entire mouth looks like it’s covered in tiny fish hooks on the inside?

We saw a lot of animals! Most of them were out because the weather was a little cooler.

Little Brother swears this is Rocket Dog from Meerkat Manor, one of his favorite shows.

Some of the animals were sleepy.

And we even took some time to learn something.

Overall, we had a really great day.

Great pictures. I haven’t taken my kiddos to the zoo for a few years, and this makes me miss it. The rocket dog is adorable. They’re cute and comical at the same time.

Oh… I love the zoo! And there is nothing better than going in the cool weather. The animals are cool enough to be out and put on a show! Fun first day of fall for you!
