Ipsy Glam Bag Review April 2014

I got my Ipsy Glam Bag yesterday and I LOVE it! It is my favorite one so far.

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014 - Dishwater Dreams

The Ipsy subscription isn’t a box, it’s a bag. And every month it comes in a different style bag. Last month’s was ok, but not really my style. This month, I adore the bag. I actually switched my purse makeup bag for this one last night. You can see the bag in the photo above. It has a record player on it and says, “Beauty Rocks.”

Products in the bag:

Costal Scents Medium Shadow Brush, Retail Value $2.49

I gave this brush a try this morning and fell in love. I actually like it better than my e.l.f. studio brush for laying down powder. It was able to put a good amount of pigment down with not a lot of effort or product. There wasn’t any shedding either. I think I will be getting some more of these brushes, especially since there was also a 25% off coupon in the bag.

Starlooks Luscious Longwear Lip Pencil, Retail Value $14

This is a full size product and I always love those. This lip pencil supposedly has a kiss-off resistant polymer so it won’t come off. I haven’t been kissing anybody today but I did drink coffee and it stayed on. It is creamy and rich. It is a corally-pink so it will go great with many of this spring’s hot colors. And I have been looking for lip liners lately so this is a great product to get in my bag.

pop! goes the shadow by Elizabeth Mott in champaign, Retail Value $12.99

Another full size product! See why I’m loving this month? This is a great neutral base shade. It could probably also be used as a transition shade. It has a bit of shimmer to it, but not a lot. It isn’t a dark pigment, but for the color that it is there was a lot of pigmentation to it. Slightly powdery, but not chalky at all. Definitely love it. And the packaging is cute!

dr. brandt® microdermabrasion, Retail Value $78 for 2oz, Sample Size 0.25oz Value $9.75

I tried this out in the shower this morning. The directions say to use the scrub with a face wet with warm water, so in the shower it went. You basically take a tiny bit, and it really does take just a small, pea-sized dab of the product, and rub gently in circles over your face for 1-2 minutes, avoiding your eye area of course. This sells great. Slightly floral and slightly citrusy. It exfoliated nicely without being harsh. It did have that warm feeling to it so if you have a sensitivity or don’t like products that have that bit of burn to them, this may not be for you. It felt like an enzyme mask or scrub. I do have combination skin and it was not too harsh for my skin at all. It left me with a nice, rosy glow. I really liked it. Can I get a few more samples?

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size, Retail Value $20 for one full size (.04oz) or $22 for a 4 color travel set (.03 oz each), Deluxe Sample Size Value $5.50

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size - Dishwater Dreams

I already love these. They are creamy, easy to control when applying, and have amazing pigmentation. Urban Decay is known for the high pigmentation in their products, which it what I tend to buy. I have this pencil in Psychedelic Sister. The sample size is great too. It’s a travel size. Watch the unboxing video for a comparison between the travel and full sizes.

Bag Cost $10 – Total Box Value $44.73

That’s. Awesome.

I love every single product in this bag. I will use every single product. And I love the bag it came in!
