in Recipes

My life is constantly on the move. I find when I am planning meals that I need food for my kids that can be ready in minutes because my poor kids are starving after all our after school activities. Enter my best cooking friend – the microwave.

Ingredients:
One Quick’N Eat Beef Patty
One Smoked Sausage Link
Cheese slices
Four slider-size hamburger buns
Optional – add pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketsup, etc.

Yield:
Four sliders

Instructions:
Microwave one Quick’N Eat Beef Patty on high for approx. two minutes or until warmed throughout. Turn once during cooking. Cut the patty into quarters and place the four pieces on four slider-size hamburger buns.

Wrap one Smoked Sausage Link in a paper towel and cook on high in the microwave for forty to forty-five seconds. Let cool, and slice sausage link into bite-size pieces.

Top slider patties with sausage slices and cheese. Cook on high in the microwave for ten seconds to melt cheese, if desired.

Add Mustard, ketchup and your choice of veggies.

I'm just discovering microwave cooking myself. Used to be only for reheating; now I bake cakes in it. 🙂
