Movie Review: The Lego Movie

February 10, 2014

in Books

With Lego characters voiced by Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, and Channing Tatum, how can you go wrong?

I will admit that I had high expectations for this movie. As a regular builder of Legos, I have a special place in my heart for these building blocks. It’s almost impossible to avoid Legos when you have sons.

Anyway, I had very high expectations based on this “Behind the Bricks” video.

And I was not disappointed. The Lego movie is well worth it. It is funny. It is clever. It has a great message.

And Christopher is positive there will be a sequel.

I was wondering if this was any good! So far I’ve only heard little kids’ reviews, which I’m not totally sure I trust. 🙂 Thanks for sharing yours!

My teen daughter took my 9 Y.O. son to see this. She laughed. He wants to see it again. #SITSBlogging

I’m glad you liked it! I had heard it was actually really terrible despite the star power, so it’s good to hear some people did like it. We will probably watch it when it comes out on DVD 🙂

Was there a lot of low brow humor in it?

We saw it on Saturday- everyone enjoyed it. The CG was amazing- esp. the lego ocean!
