One-Dish Spaghetti and Meatballs

This fabulous spaghetti and meatballs entree is baked with cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese for a delicious one-dish dinner.

·         Eight ounces spaghetti
·         One pound JC Potter Italian Style Sausage
·         Two cloves garlic, chopped
·         One (28-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
·         One cup Hiland Small Curd Cottage Cheese
·         One-fourth cup Hiland Sour Cream
·         Eight ounces cream cheese, softened
·         One tablespoon dried parsley flakes
·         One-half teaspoon garlic powder
·         One-half package frozen Fast Fixin’ Italian Style Meatballs
·         Two cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1.      Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain, and set aside.
2.      Sauté Italian sausage, adding chopped garlic when sausage begins to brown. When fully cooked, drain grease and return sausage to pan.
3.      Add spaghetti sauce, stirring and heating through. Remove from heat, and set aside.
4.      In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, parsley flakes and garlic powder.
5.      Heat 12 meatballs according to package directions.
6.      Place half of the spaghetti in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Spread cream cheese mixture over pasta. Place meatballs on top of cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining spaghetti. Pour sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
7.      Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Serve hot.
