We should have been sitting on the dock
Dangling our toes in the spring cool
Lake, holding hands. We should have
Been talking of weddings and children
With a soft breeze to carry our dreams.
We should have been living our lives.

This poem is so powerful. A wonderful contribution to The Creative Sunday – thanks for sharing. I’m also a lover of poetry although haven’t been game enough to venture on the path of creating my own. Perhaps one day soon…
