Rimmel Rockin Curves Mascara Review

I’m a sucker for anything that says it’s rockin’. So when I finally saw Rimmel’s new Rockin’ Curves mascara, I picked it up. It was $5.99 at my local Walgreens and it part of the ScandalEyes line.

Rimmel Rockin Curves Mascara

The Rimmel website calls the applicator shape a broken heart and says it will give you a fringe of big, curvy, rockin’ lashes. “This cleverly-shaped applicator twists and curves to hug the lash line; the thin tip grabs hard-to-reach inner lashes, while the amplified base pulses lashes with incredible volume and curve. Lashes are plumped and lifted in one clean stroke.” It comes in two shades, black and carbon black.

First Impression

I got carbon black. The first time I used this mascara it went on well on my right eye, but the broken heart was tougher to use on my left eye since it is supposed to face a certain way. On my right eye, I was please with the volume definition and length I got from the mascara. It did also make a nice cat eye look with longer lashes on the outer corner. On my left eye I found that I was having trouble with my lashes sticking together and getting that spikey look.

The formula is a wetter formula. After I had the mascara on I got a lot of it under my left eye just from blinking. I guess you could say that is proof it makes your lashes long, but I had to use eye makeup remover to get it off and then redo my concealer.

I did not notice any lift or curl. I have stick straight lashes though and usually don’t get much of a curl even with a lash curler.

It did flake on my after about 6 hours too.

Overall, I’m not impressed but I’m not calling this a total fail. I am going to stick in back in the drawer for a couple of weeks and see if the formula improves at all. I do like the wand!
